Johanna Magin writes poetry and experimental short fiction from her perch in Paris (actually, Montreuil, which beats Paris on any day). Her writing can be found in a number of fine reviews in the US, Canada, and the UK (more in the Poetry section). Her recent honors include: finalist for the 2025 National Poetry Series (US), finalist for Narrative Magazine’s 2025 Poetry Contest (US), shortlisted for the 2025 Fish Publishing Prize (Ireland), winner of the 2024 Loraine Williams Poetry Prize (US), finalist for the 2024 Montreal International Poetry Prize (Canada), and longlisted for the 2024 National Poetry Competition (UK). She holds a PhD in French Literature from Columbia University and taught for nearly 15 years at the university level.
